Account Deletion

You can delete your Whimsy account from inside the app. This page is also available publicly for account deletion requests when you cannot access the app.
Delete Your Account In The App
- Open Whimsy.
- Go to Account.
- Tap Delete account.
- Review the confirmation screen and confirm deletion. If Whimsy asks you to sign in again, complete that step to verify the request.
If You Cannot Access The App
Email chris.app.dev.contact@gmail.com with the subject "Account deletion request." Send the request from the email address connected to your Whimsy account when possible, and include the sign-in method you used. We may ask for more information to verify that you control the account before deleting it.
We aim to respond to verified deletion requests within 30 days.
What Is Deleted
Account deletion removes Whimsy account data associated with your user ID, including account profile data, child profiles, saved ideas, dismissed ideas, view history, location preferences, and other app data tied to the account.
If you use Whimsy as a guest without creating a permanent account, the Account screen may show a reset option instead. Reset clears Whimsy data on that device.
What May Be Retained
Some records may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, app store subscription records, tax or accounting obligations, or backup recovery. Backup copies are removed through the normal backup lifecycle.
Subscriptions
Deleting your Whimsy account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Manage active subscriptions through the app store account where the subscription was purchased.
